All ALPHA courses at Holy Trinity are free and open to the public.

New Alpha class begins Sept. 18, 2008

     The next Alpha offering of deepening our knowledge of scripture and the heritage and challenges of the faith begins on Thursday, Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. It will be a series of talks on Revelations, which has been requested by several Alpha attendees.

     The evening will center on a video presentation by Dr. Bruce Metzger, a professor at Princeton and considered the world’s leading authority on this strange and fascinating book. Speaking in a kindly, grandfatherly approach, he uses non-technical language to discuss this most mysterious book. The schedule for presentations of “Breaking the Code” and the corresponding Scripture is as follows:

Sept. 18 - (Rev. 1:1-20)

Sept. 25 - (Rev. 2:1-3:22)

Oct. 2 - (Rev. 4:1-5:14)

Oct. 9 - (Rev. 6:1-8:4)

Oct. 16 - (Rev. 8:5 - 11:19)

Oct. 23 - (Rev. 12:1-14:20)

Nov. 6 - (Rev. 15:1-18:24)

Nov. 13 - (Rev. 19:1-22:21)

Nov. 20 - The 7 Churches of Revelations - final reflections.

Our evenings will include the visual presentations, overview, questions, brief Biblical study and refreshments. To indicate your plan to attend, please contact the Church Office. As with any Alpha offering, you need not attend every session if unable to, and you need not have taken a previous Alpha offering to benefit from this intriguing course.
